Why Waverley?

At the Waverley, we pride ourselves on offering high quality care within a homely atmosphere. Each member of staff is highly trained after being hand picked for their skills, ability and, of course, their caring nature. Our full time education officers ensure that their training is kept up to date.

We offer nearly all single rooms, the majority of which have their own bathroom, which helps us minimise levels of cross-infection. Although we are a large establishment, the areas in which we nurse are smaller than average, with our General Unit comprising 6 individual units, the largest of which serves 14 residents.

We could not be further away from the notion that a nursing home has  ‘old people sat in silence in a circle in a lounge’. We have plenty of hustle and bustle, but most importantly, all of our residents are individuals, treated with the dignity and respect that they deserve. Our Activity Officers ensure that there is some stimulating activity or entertainment occuring each day, to which all our residents have access.
